Summit Lake Lodging
A variety of sleeping accommodations are available at Summit Lake. There are some small lodges, in addition to those listed below. All are fully winterized for year-round comfort. Lodges and meeting areas are air conditioned during summer months.
Catoctin & Bicentennial Lodges
The Catoctin and Bicentennial Lodges are designed as Swiss chalets. Each lodge accommodates 32, with 8 bedroom which have two sets of bunks (four beds) and a private bath. Front rooms include beautiful decks overlooking the forest. A ground-floor meeting room in each lodge features a large stone fireplace. The Catoctin Lodge has been completely refurbished following a fire in October 2010.
Marguerite Conference Lodge
The Marguerite M. Crowley Conference Lodge accommodates up to 24 for sleeping and 50 in the meeting area. Six bedrooms have vanity/wash basins, and there are two central baths. The meeting area, featuring a conversation pit and a unique floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, is 1400 square feet.
In the bunkhouses there are a total of 250 beds. Each bunkhouse houses two separate cabins which are available for year-round use. Cabins have 12-16 beds with separate indoor bathroom/shower facilities. Each group is assigned separate cabins and separate meeting rooms. You'll notice that the mattresses in the pictures of the inside of the bunkhouses are leaning up against the wall. This picture was taken immediately following cleaning. Every bed and every mattress is vacuumed after one group of guests leaves and before the next group arrives. This is true of all lodging areas. We are committed to providing a clean, safe environment for every guest who stays with us.
The Director's Lodge is available for pastors and speakers on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ask about availability of these rooms when you make your reservation.
